Kerry, a lifelong Santa enthusiast and artist, started painting pecan shell resin Santas in 1991. With three little ones at home, painting was both her hobby and the hustle that helped create jolly Christmas mornings for her family.

A graphic designer and creative at heart, Kerry has always been drawn to storytelling through art — blending color, texture, nostalgia, and a touch of whimsy into everything she creates.

After a detour into the food industry (Outer Banks folks may know her as Mama Wave, owner of Duck’s Wave Pizza Café), she’s back in the studio, this time working in ceramic. At Yankee Brush Works you’ll find hand-painted poured bisque Santas, vintage porcelain pieces given new life, and one-of-a-kind creations made from vintage molds — all with the detail, charm, and human touch Kerry’s work has always been known for. ✨
